Dupe VFX is looking for a Senior VFX Editor who is responsible for leading all editorial tasks for a small, but impactful team. We are looking for someone who has a very good technical knowledge as well as having a lot to offer creatively. We expect independent prioritisation of tasks, organised work and motivation to present solutions.

We will ask you to be creative, analytical, and efficient in achieving the creative vision of our clients and VFX supervisors. You should be keen to learn and share knowledge, playing your part in the team to produce great work in a positive environment. We want you to pay attention to both the aesthetics and the technical aspects.


  • Maintain sequence edits and insert visual effects shots into the timeline
  • Incorporating & checking all internal versions of visual effects shots into the current cuts of the VFX/live-action sequences
  • Manage and document the turnover of shots from editorial through to delivery including ingesting new media into the pipeline
  • Lead and train VFX Editors
  • Ensure ftrack is maintained with current shot counts, lineup and any retime instructions
  • Ensure that published shots conform to the current edit and perform basic QC checks
  • Prepare sequence edits for internal and client approvals when required
  • Create daily playlists and operate the screening room system for dailies
  • Perform shot specific colour corrections to match editorial reference when required
  • Operate the screening room system for internal dailies and client reviews
  • Perform shot retimes to match supplied editorial reference when required
  • Create rough shot mockups as proof of concept for artists and supervisors
  • Performing shot-specific LUT setups to match the colour of offline references
  • Work in partnership with VFX teams and compositors to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard while maintaining schedules.
  • Cutting marketing reels for website deployment


  • Minimum 5 years of editing experience within the film and VFX industry
  • An eye for detail and thorough understanding of techniques, file formats, colour-space, software and technology relating to the live-action visual effects
  • Expert knowledge of Hiero, Davinci Resolve
  • Working knowledge of OCIO, Nuke, ftrack, FFmpeg
  • Proven accuracy and organisational experience
  • Solid understanding of a VFX Pipeline
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Expert knowledge in colour spaces and colour conforming
  • Understanding of the ACES colour workflow
  • Proficient at working on time-sensitive projects with passion & patience
  • Help formulate, maintain and manage the long-term strategy of the department aligned with the Company strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies concerning workers on projects, communication strategies, leadership and effective management strategies.

The studio is based in Dalston E8, London, however we are open for fully remote applicants as well.
